We created a modern ecommerce store to support GoodFor’s newly opened retail store in Ponsonby, Auckland. The company’s number one priority was to create a user-friendly experience that would encourage users to continue shopping sustainably.

Weight Based Inventory

To mimic the in-store experience of a wholefoods refillery we needed to customise the traditional ecommerce system to allow users to select the weight of the product to purchase. We set up three weight options for each product, which could be easily customised in the website’s backend. Setting up the products by weight also gave GoodFor complete accuracy over stock levels and the ability to keep track of each product down to the last gram. To maintain their plastic free shopping policy, GoodFor delivers to their customers in environmentally friendly packaging.

Point of Sale Integration

It can be difficult to reconcile online versus in-store stock levels, especially with a weight based inventory system. To keep things running smoothly we worked closely with GoodFor’s Point of Sale provider to develop an automated integration. This meant GoodFor was able to sync all stock levels and product pricing between the two systems, ensuring they could manage everything directly from their till.
